It needs I2C and when called in imx-common it doesn't have it enabled yet. Fabio, am I missing something?
This should be fixed, then. There are quite a number of systems that need I2C early - for example, sucht that store the envrionment in I2C attached EEPROM; thse need I2C to set the console baudrate, i. e. before printing the first character.
