atm there is the mvgbe driver:

• which has a hardcoded mac address (or if enabled, a randomized mac

address) and

• touches the environment

oh and i've forgot to mention, that the driver is broken for boards with

#define CONFIG_MVGBE_PORTS {0,1}

which is the reason why i initially submitted the patch.
