Which package in your distro installs "/usr/include/md5.h" ?

IMHO this package should not install md5.h in that system location; more recent versions of that package use /usr/include/sasl/md5.h instead (see for example cyrus-sasl-devel-2.1.22-8).
I don't know RHEL - maybe you can update the RPM?
