I know - I'm the guy who made those changes, but I didn't want to ignore blackfin because I wasn't sure when you were going to write your driver, and I didn't want to introduce code that altered the behavior of blackfin.
i told you at the time that the Blackfin i2c driver in the tree was broken. no matter what your changes did, it wouldnt make the existing situation worse. instead, we'd end up with bit rot like we now have.
will you post a patch to fix the issue or shall i ? -mike
