Yes, it does, but nevertheless you should NEVER base any new work on such an old version.
If not, which version should be used?

I plugged an MPC8248 into an 8272ads and U-Boot from CVS 'Just Worked (tm)'.
The MPC8272 Family includes the MPC8247, MPC8248, MPC8271 and MPC8272 processors. Same good stuff with binary combinations of ATM and Security processor!
