I've looked at timer_interrupt() on all Motorola CPUs and it seems it is possible to move most of the code from cpu/$(CPU)/interrupt.c directory to one common place (ppc_lib/interrupt.c for instance). Unfortunately I have only MPC8245 CPU for testing.
