I have been trying shorten our boot-time (Linux on a pxa27x), and am using a short assembly loop for the flash to ram copies, but I'd like to see this patch for all the mem routines.
I am unfortunately trapped behind a firewall, and must take my laptop to a special room to get an "outside line" in order to use git.
This page refers to the 071107_mem which I am unable to get with git, it seems to time out:

Try some other gits, if they work I have no idea. If they dont work check your git version & firewall.
And this page says "Awaiting fix to remove kernel dependencies"
The patch doesn't build for me at present since it makes use of linux kernel code, whuch we wouldn't want to duplicate into the U-Boot tree.
Feel free to submit a patch to fix it....
