I have tried the same here and I still get a hang with Ethernet. If I manually remove Ethernet support from the defconfig then I am able to get into the U-Boot prompt.
Could you please share your U-Boot logs?

The ipg clk patch needs to be reverted for now. Anyway the log as below:
