[U-Boot] new dev question

hello, i was wondering if anyone could direct me to some good resources to get a new dev up to speed with the requirements/provisions that exist for porting U-Boot to new boards. i am working solo building a distro from scratch and it would be especially beneficial to have U-Boot as the primary supported bootloader for my releases in the coming time.
