I have to commit that I find your comment a bit out of place. Mareks patch that fixes this issue was posted a long, long time ago. But nobody complained about all the broken boards, and those who actually would be in a position to test the patch, to comment on it, and especially to apply it to the MPC8xxx repository have all been in Deep Sleep ever since.
Instead of contacting Marek in private (I cannot see any trace of your original message on the ML), you could try kicking your friends at FSL...
