Hi Tom
As kernel maintainer of STi machine (STMicroelectronics STiH407 family SoC), i am currently adding STiH407 support on U-boot (https://www.mail-archive.com/u-boot@lists.denx.de/msg239825.html).
I am wondering if i need to get a custodian git tree for this machine in order to do pull-request to the uboot-arm maintainer.
It already exists a u-boot-stm custodian which is not more used (no activities since Sun, 6 Jan 2013) and declared as orphan in MAINTAINERS file. It was originally dedicated to SPEAR.
To sum-up, do i need to have a custodian git tree ? if yes, can i reuse the already u-boot-stm tree or do i need to ask for a new one ?
In general, I'm happy to just pick up these patches and apply them. We can evaluate as needed later on if it makes sense to add a tree to make things easier or if the load is small enough that I can just grab them. Thanks!
