[U-Boot-Users] u-boot serial download doubts

Hi, Im going through the serial download command - loads/loadb

How it works?. even though i put a few printfs inbetween. Im able to download a file to the RAM.

Does the serial download have a protocol?. i didnt understand. putting printfs between the download seems to work?. am not sure. Could anyone explain?.
