When something is obviously broken and yet prevalent, it makes me think I might be missing something. In this case, it appears I'm not.
Prevalent? 16 out of 354 configurations, and all of the same breed?
It's prevalent among Freescale 8xxx-based boards, which is good enough for me. Since I'm not familiar with the other architectures, I can only use quirks in the 8xxx code as a basis for anything. And that's why I post questions like this to the mailing list, so that I can see if anyone with more experience can shed some light. Unfortunately, I occasionally get flamed for it.
