I have to admit that I'm not 100% sure about that. U-Boot includes the sha1 and sha256 message digest code, and the AES crypto library. My understanding is that this is considered enough crypto stuff to cause an 5D002 assignment - but I may be wrong here. This has never been officially verified before.
In any case, a TSU license exception would apply.
