I freshly cloned the 'next' branch of u-boot-usb @ http://git.denx.de/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=u-boot/u-boot-usb.git;a=shortlog ;h=refs/heads/next and was able to apply all of the six patches successfully. I am not sure what could be wrong at your end. Can you post the errors which you see while doing git-am <mbox>.
Also, Andy (cc'ed) confirmed yesterday that he is going to pick the above patches in his u-boot tree; so I am not sure in whose u-boot tree, the patches are temporarily going to land.
Well, the USB changes are under Remy's domain, so he has the ability to nack. I'm happy to apply them if they apply, as they mostly just change config headers.
