[U-Boot] [ANN] U-Boot v2017.01 is released

Hey all,

I've released v2017.01 and it's now live on git and FTP and ACD (along with PGP sig file).

This release I think is a good way to start out a new year. There's the usual level of forward progress on the things that've been in progress for a while.

I'll leave pointing out big changes to the custodians and instead I want to talk about what I see as the priorities for 2017. In 2016 we fully moved away from MAKEALL and to using buildman. In 2017 I want to see us finish the move to Kconfig. In September we added logic to break builds that introduce new symbols and since then we've been making progress on removing CONFIG symbols. I'm confident that this year we can finish the transition.
