We have actually seen issues with the post memory tests using the -mfpu=neon and -ftree-vectorize under gcc 4.4.1. So, I would be very careful with FP flags until someone figures out how to fix the 64-bit access operators that the memory test uses.
Well, there _is_ a reason for using -msoft-float as we are doing in U-Boot. Thanks for confirming this again.
