SMDK6400 can only boot U-Boot from NAND-flash. This patch adds a nand_spl driver for it too. The board can also boot from the NOR flash, but due to hardware limitations it can only address 64KiB on it, which is not enough for U-Boot. Based on the original sources by Samsung for U-Boot 1.1.6.
Can you please check the compiler options? This is what I get with ELDK 4.1 for ARM:
-> ./MAKEALL smdk6400 cc1: error: invalid option 'eabi' cc1: error: invalid option 'string' ...
Looks like the problem is with the build system somewhere. After a distclean it builds cleanly. Whereas, just tried it after "kilauea" without any clean - was flooded with errors. A look in the log reveals, that it is trying to call ppc_4xx-gcc with arm options.
