I see no need to change anything, as the wiki represents how OUR workflow works.

i'm not applying "random" rules. the workflow is generally modeled after the linux workflow, and the wiki explicitly has a section called "Differences to Linux Development Process". this common linux workflow was not mentioned in the differences section.
If you want to do something useful, then apply the original patches, and make sure to reference these properly.
