
The autoscript.myboard is regenerated for every new board so they get a new "ethaddr" and other custom features..
I really do not see the harm in this.
But to do this, no changes to the U-Boot code are needed. Just set your default network configuration in the board config file, and you are all set.
The whole purpose of the patch is to allow me to change the default network configuration *WITHOUT* updating the board file.
Everything is going to be handled by scripts getting their input from graphic entry.
Scripts are very good at *generating* files. They are exceptionally bad in patching files which can change over time.
