I guess the worst thing about all these is that all of these comment styles are already present in U-Boot, which is why I copy-and-pasted them in my files (except update.c, obviously). (So probably not even my record application would be successful. :-( )
Just out of curiosity (and maybe for future submissions): do you have a script or grep command to check for these incorrect multiline comments? I did not come up with a simple solution so double-checked it manually now before re-submitting, but would be more at ease to have a tool for checking.
