Hello All,
The problem has been solved. The only change necessary to put current u-boot's mpc85xx FCC code to work on MPC8541E is the one that I mentioned in my first email in this thread. The other one was a typical case of "problem between the monitor and the chair", discovered by my collegue Steffen: I was doing tftp to ram address 0x0 :|.
