You are asking the wrong question. It is not U-Boot that can or can not support such a boot mode, but the processor you are using.

the U-Boot files and I found support for compact flash but it exists along with another flash memory, where as I need a bootloader running with only compact flash.
I don't know of any processor that can boot from CompactFlash without using a primary bootstrap loader in some other boot device like standard NOR flash.
