I have recently modded a Netgear RN102 NAND flash from 128 MB to 4096 MB (Samsung k9gbg08u0a) but i have a problem with NAND initialization. I can boot with kwboot which is unique for Armada CPU's. Hey all, So, the DM_USB migration deadline issue has been addressed by the series here: https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/project/uboot/list/?series=252793&state=* which splits out host and gadget support from the CONFIG_USB symbol itself. The migration deadline was for host support, and as noted, N900 is gadget only. That particular issue is resolved. But investigating that issue lead me to figure out some other problems, that I do need someone to say how will be addressed. Now that the other board removal series has been applied, and then with: https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/project/uboot/patch/20210708014348.4010-1-trin… also applied (for which the maintainer is happy to take), this brings N900 as the last and only user of the "old" musb driver (the "new" musb driver is now almost 9 years old) and also the last and only user of the usbtty driver. I suspect that moving to the "new" MUSB driver, for gadget only, and with that enabling DM_USB_GADGET should be a mechanical affair, so long as you can fit within the space constraints of the platform. I'm not immediately sure how hard it will be to update usbtty.c to modern gadget APIs. If there are size problems, then, well, we need solutions proposed (it's possible that some of the usb-uclass.c code is host-only and needs moving, but that likely won't stop gadget from needing it for gadget related information, to bring up a specific example). It's also likely that the MUSB support needs a little further clean-up for supporting building as gadget-only when there's some common code under a host-only check. What I would like is for someone to step forward and say they'll pick up this work. Is there an immediate deadline? No. I don't think that would be helpful. I'm not going to dictate how long it takes for someone to do the work, that's for the person doing the work to say how long they think it'll take. Thanks all! -- Tom

Add compatible string and driver data for i.MX7ULP. Meanwhile, the address set to SFA1AD/SFA2AD/SFB1AD/SFB2AD should align with 1KB, because the lowest 10 bits are reserved by the registers definition. For i.MX7ULP which has only 128Bytes AHB buffer, must align it when setting the registers and selecting cs. [PATCH v2 00/39] efi: Improvements to U-Boot running on top of UEFI

At present U-Boot can be built as an EFI app, but it is really just for testing, with very few features. Instead, the payload build is used for booting on top of UEFI, where U-Boot takes over the machine immediately and supplies its own drivers. But the app could be made more useful. This series provides access to EFI block devices and the video console within U-Boot. It also restructures the app to make it possible to boot a kernel, although further work is needed to implement this. This can be thought of as making U-Boot perform a little like 'grub', in that it runs purely based on UEFI-provided services. Of course a lot more work is required, but this is a start. Note: It would be very useful to include qemu tests of the app and stub in CI. [PATCH 1/2] xyz-modem: Wait infinitely for initial y-modem packet

Now when command loady can be aborted / cancelled by CTRL+C, change wait timeout for initial packet to infinite. This would allow user to not be hurry when locating file which want to send. Commands loadb and loads already waits infinitely too. This patch series automatically detects CONFIG_SYS_TCLK value, set it in global mach/soc.h file and remove manual CONFIG_SYS_TCLK value from all mvebu/kirkwood board config files. So it just a cleanup to avoid defining custom macros in board config files which can be automatically detected. Could you test these patches on a38x and a37x platforms that nothing is broken? Hey all, It's been two weeks since v2022.01-rc2, so here's -rc3. To repeat what I said with -rc2, we've enabled issue tracking on our gitlab instance. You can sign up and then be able to file issues at: https://source.denx.de/groups/u-boot/-/issues This is intended for everyone to be able to use, both custodians for their own needs (you can see for example Heinrich has filed something for UEFI and LMB) as well as users to just report bugs so they don't feel like they're lost in the mailing list. As noted with the last release, the -next branch is open and I'll sync in -rc3 shortly. Please feel free to get a PR ready now if you're able. In terms of a changelog, git log --merges v2022.01-rc2..v2022.01-rc3 contains what I've pulled but as always, better PR messages and tags will provide better results here. [RFC PATCH] tools: kwbimage: Allow to disable compilation of kwbimage on non-mvebu platforms

kwbimage depends on libcrypto. 32-bit mvebu platforms (except Orion and Discovery, which are not in mach-mvebu) require kwimage for building SPL. Some users want to compile u-boot tools without libcrypto. Therefore add a new symbol CONFIG_TOOLS_KWBIMAGE which controls compilation of kwbimage and define correct dependences between mvebu, kwbimage and libcrypto targets. This allows disabling of kwbimage compilation on non-mvebu platforms. [BUG] RockPro64 not booting since 3ae64582fb

Hi U-boot developers, I'm booting RockPro64 by writing compiled u-boot-rockchip.bin to SD card offset 64 as described in doc/board/rockchip/rockchip.rst. There is a USB flash drive plugged into USB2 port containing ext4 filesystem with extlinux/exlinux.conf and a kernel+initrd images. This setup boots fine on 02ce99ec91 but not on the next 3ae64582fb. It gets stuck on "Booting using the fdt blob at 0x1f000000". Let me know if I can help debug this. I have a "daily driver" RockPro64 v2.1, can pull from git repos/branches or apply patches to source tree - whichever you prefer. Best regards, Aleksei, U-boot user
