[U-Boot] [PATCH] Fix ml507 Xilinx uartlite driver hang

The default configuration for ml507 will generate a hang() in the Xilinx uartlite driver. userial_ports[] in drivers/serial/serial_xuartlite.c does not get initialized properly. CONFIG_SERIAL_BASE is unused. XILINX_UARTLITE_BASEADDR is used instead. mx6qsabreauto is a board based on mx6q SoC with the following features: - 2GB of DDR3 - 2 USB ports - 1 HDMI output port - SPI NOR - 2 LVDS LCD ports - Gigabit Ethernet - Camera - eMMC and SD card slot - Multichannel Audio - CAN - SATA - NAND - PCIE - Video Input Add very basic support for it. [U-Boot] QE firmware/microcode handling

Hi everyone, following up Timur's patch on QE microcode: http://marc.info/?l=u-boot&m=132197537730440&w=2 I was wondering, would it make any sense to *embed* QE's firmware within u-boot image itself? After all, it should be some ~64KB worth of data, right? Not quite sure whether this has ever been done for similar purposes, but to me it looks way more convenient to have a single image file to be flashed, rather than reserving room (e.g. within the same NOR flash where u-boot lies) for it. Easier upgrading of this microcode from within the application, is perhaps the only reason I could think of for *NOT* doing so. How to actually implement it, well that's another issue, and on that I'm open to suggestions, too. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Thanks in advance, Gerlando

Hi Stefano I am currently in the process of updating my zmx25 board support for a new hardware revision where I need I2C access. I2C on imx25 currently fails to build: mxc_i2c.c: In function 'i2c_imx_get_clk': mxc_i2c.c:101:31: error: 'MXC_IPG_PERCLK' undeclared (first use in this function) I can easily fix this by replacing MXC_IPG_PERCLK with MXC_I2C_CLK. But MXC_I2C_CLK is only defined for imx25. So, this change will break all other imx chips. I can now add MXC_IPG_PERCLK to arch-mx25/clock.h and adopt generic.c accordingly but I don't think that this is the right way to go as the i2c clock can be different from perclk. Doing this #define MXC_IPG_PERCLK MXC_I2C_CLK in my config file is even more ugly. Do you have any advice for me how to solve that? Regards Matthias

Dear, Wolfgang Denk. I am working supporting Renesas RMOBILE to U-Boot. Renesas's RMOBILE SoC family contains an ARM Cortex-A9, and this uses the same IP as SH. (For example, timer, ether, serial, etc.) I already sent to patches of rmobile, I got review from some developers. And the patch is managed by the arm/rmobile branch of u-boot-sh[0] which I have maintained, now. Since I had you take the patch of rmobile into an ARM repository, I consulted with Albert about the future development approach. We thought two methods are considered. One is Albert picks up a patch from ML to ARM repository, Another is whether to have pull from the repository by having a repository for rmobile made. And we decided to consult by ML.
