After learning a bit about u-boot I created this series of patches that I thought would help people port u-boot in the future. Patches range from adding documentation for things that weren't immediately obvious to me, up to checking to make sure that values that are essential to booting the kernel are at least written to once and haven't been forgotten. Christopher Harvey (5): Added documentation for CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE for ARM. Added extra documentation about how the relocation address to RAM is picked for ARM. Removed unused define, CONFIG_ARMV7. [U-Boot] using a GPIO to toggle tftp boot mode

I'm hoping to come up with a way to configure a recovery mechanism using uboot. the idea is if the main OS image needs to be reflashed, or for recovery options. what are my options for configuring uboot to use a different set of configuration options based on the state of a GPIO line (button)? thanks! -CG

The following construct (musb_hcd.c, usb_lowlevel_init) timeout = musb_cfg.timeout; while (timeout--) if (readb(&musbr->devctl) & MUSB_DEVCTL_HM) break; will leave timeout == -1 when the timeout is reached, hence the timeout detecting code that follows will not trigger: /* if musb core is not in host mode, then return */ if (!timeout) return -1; Without the patch below, doing a 'usb reset' without a device connected makes it impossible to discover connected devices later. I have not investigated why this happens since the timeout logic was broken (and correcting that fixed the issue at hand). Changed to pre-decrement since I assume the timeout value is not *that* exact. [U-Boot] CF Card Driver on MPC8548

Hi,I've got a problem here. There is a CF card on my board, which is connecting to the Local Bus of MPC8548 using UPM mode. The CF card is connecting in PCcard Memory mode. But I can't find an available or a propriate reference driver. What can I do? Where can I find a reference CF card driver. Thanks!
