Anyone tried to compile u-boot with -Wundef? It generates a lot of warnings that potentially hides bugs. The Linux kernel added -Wundef long ago to avoid these hidden bugs. Jocke

[U-Boot] boot qnx image from NOR Flash

Hello, I'd like to ask for some help regarding QNX operational system. The problem is that i don't know how to boot a QNX image situated in the NOR Flash. It boots fine form network over tftp. Neither "raw" nor "elf" image could be booted. I've tried with bootm, bootelf and go commands, but it didn't work. What should I do exactly to be able to boot a QNX image from a NOR Flash? Hello, just looked in the timer implementation for arm926ejs based boards, and found that there is just the at91, davinci, nomadik timer implementation fixed in actual u-boot. I want to cleanup this timers too, but there are kirkwood, mb86r0x, orion5x, spear, versatile archs which use a lastdec var, which is not in global_data.h defined. So the question is should we add a lastdec to global_data.h or is it Ok, if I use lastinc for cleaning up? [U-Boot] [PATCH] config.mk: add drivers as default include PATH

Some device drivers and their header files will invoke some definitions for assembly code. If a device is required to be initilized in board.S or in lowlevel_init.S, such memory controller, flash controller, power control units. Sometimes we both need to access these devices in bootstrap process and later in normal operation period. Hence the definitions of these drivers in the header files is required to be found in cpu and board folders. Moreover, these devices is usually built into multiple different SoC with different architectures. So the header files should be able to be shared among the SoCs. Add this CPPFLAGS += -I$(TOPDIR)/drivers into the default include PATH will avoid such code "#include "../../../../../drivers/mtd/flash.h" So this patch is suggested. There will have issue if the _start not equal TEXT_BASE when enable relocation. The reason is as the followings, The _dynsym_start_ofs and _rel_dyn_start_ofs is the offset from _start, so, need use _start address instead of _TEXT_BASE to caculate the rel dyn start and sym table address. This patch also correct the board_init_r function address caculation in relocation area. The addr of board_init_r after relocation is: _board_init_r_offs + relocation start address. Hi All, I am using MPC8640 based custom board in which we have IDT pcie switch( 32-Lane 8 Port PCIe Switch “89HPES32H8G2”).Upstream port of the switch is connected to the mpc8640 and all the downstream ports are connected to respective endpoints. MPC8640 is configured as root complex. During the PCIe enumeration i am able to detect 7 ports of the switch and not beyond that . As per the switch datasheet the primary bus number should be different from secondary bus number. For example, if the primary bus number on Port0 is set to 0x00 then the secondary bus number should be set to 0x01 or higher. But after the enumeration the primary/secondary/subordinate bus number (at offset 0x018) were not assigned properly.The primary and secondary bus number assignments after the enumeration as follows. primary/secondary/subordinate Port0 = 00/00/06 Port1 = 00/01/01 Port2 = disable Port3 = 00/02/02 Port4 = 00/03/03 Port5 = 00/04/04 Port6 = 00/05/05 Port7 = 00/06/06 Port7 = 00/07/07 Also we found that There are overlap between the Memory Base Register and Memory Limit Register setting (at offset 0x20-0x22) among the downstream ports,while each downstream ports should have unique Memory Base address. There are overlap between the I/O Base Register and I/O Limit Register setting (at offset 0x30-0x32) among the downstream ports.while each downstream ports should have unique I/O Base address.
