Hi, I don't know the normal procedure, if I should send the patch to Wolfgang or someone else, but I found a problem with Makefile and TQM5200 HIGHBOOT config in Makefile. I think this problem is also in previous versions since tqm boards where moved under tqc folder. Hi, I was going through the i2c module support in u-boot-1.3.4 source & found few duplicate calls to i2c_init. For the below target platform, uboot-1.3.4\lib_ppc\board.c 1. Initially, during init_sequence, init_func_i2c() is called which in turn calls i2c_init() (uboot-1.3.4\lib_ppc\board.c @ line 250) 2. Again, board_init_r() calls devices_init() (@ line 980) which in turn calls i2c_init() (uboot-1.3.4\common\devices.c @ line 183) uboot-1.3.4\lib_m68k\board.c 1. Initially, during init_sequence, init_func_i2c() is called which in turn calls i2c_init() (uboot-1.3.4\lib_m68k\board.c @ line 209) 2. Again, board_init_r() calls devices_init() (@ line 636) which in turn calls i2c_init() (uboot-1.3.4\common\devices.c @ line 183) uboot-1.3.4\lib_blackfin\board.c 1. This patch fixes a compilation warning for the PIP405 board. It moves the #ifndef CONFIG_CS8952_PHY define a little so that the warning doesn't occur anymore. I am a little unsure if this #ifdef is at the correct place now or if it could be removed completely. This needs to get tested on the PIP405 board. [U-Boot] Problem in writing jffs2 fiesystem

Hi all, I am running u-b00t-1.6.6 on custom at91sam9263 board. Now i am able to boot, jffs2 filesystem with linux-2.6.20 kernel. but the procedure i am using to burn is jffs2 is : 1)boot the linux kernel with ramdisk 2)erase the flash partition using $flasheraseall -j /dev/mtd1 3)writing the image using $nandwrite -p /dev/mtd1 rootfs.jffs2 The above procedure works well for me. But when i try writing the jffs2 filesytem in uboot prompt its not booting (kernel panic). The u-boot companion command line tool 'fw_setenv' emits verbose output during a set operation of the form: Unlocking flash... Done Erasing old environment... Done Writing environment to /dev/mtd4... Done Locking ... Done While this is nice for debugging and troubleshooting, it is a bit verbose in a production environment. I propose two alternatives for suppressing this output: 1) Compile-time: Change 'printf' to 'debug' in which case the above diagnostics will only be output when the tool is built with 'DEBUG' asserted. 2) Run-time: Change the implementation such that the invocation usage of 'fw_setenv' is: Usage: fw_setenv [ -q ] name [ value ... ] I'd favor (2); however, I welcome strong opinions one way or another before I submit a patch.
