[U-Boot] MPC8313RDB evaluation platform hangs on nand configured U-boot

After successfully compiling U-boot source (2008.10) using the PowerPC tool chain, I successfully built a U-boot-nand.bin image for the Freescale MPC8313RDB evaluation platform using "make MPC8313ERDB_NAND_33_config". After flashing the image using the Freescale JTAG, and setting the appropriate DIP switch settings to boot from nand flash, the following message appears over the HyperTerminal serial communications port: "NAND boot... transfering control" and the system hangs. The Freescale ltib U-boot source code seems to work just fine, however, I would like to use the latest U-boot and take advantage of the YAFFS2 support. If someone has experienced this problem and would not mind sharing with me the resolution, I would be very much appreciative. hi, I am working on LXT971 Ethernet driver for AT91SAM9260 based board in u-boot. In this LXT971 is operating in mii mode. So for LXT971 to work in mii mode is it required to call miiphy_register() function to register miiphy_read() and miiphy_write functions? [PATCH] video: Add new driver for Silicon Motion SM501/SM502 This patch adds a new driver for SM501/SM502. Compared to the existing driver it allows dynamic selection of resolution (environment: videomode). The drive is based on Vincent Sanders and Ben Dooks' linux kernel driver. Use CONFIG_VIDEO_SM501NEW to enable the driver. This has been tested on Janz emPC-A400. On this platform the SM501 is connected via PCI. [U-Boot] boardname xxx-yyy produce error

Hello, this is my fist entry - may be the problem is well known ... Compiling a board with a name xxx-yyy produce an error with eldk 4.2 (ARM) and u-boot-2008.10. Everbody can check it for instance with bf533-ezkit in the board-file. I changed the name of my board and it compiles without problems. Regards, Willi

I am using the Skyeye Simulator . I a simulating Atmel at91rm9200dk board , and I am using the ELDK from Denx . The Linux kernel version is 2.6.22.19 . I need to understand the application compilation process as a part of Linux kernel . How do I write an application and compile it with the kernel to run it . Thats actually a pretty good idea , I could the eclipse , tie it to the ELDK and work . Hi, I found a bug when working with the u-boot USB subsystem on IXP425 processor (big endian Xscale aka ARMv5). I recognized that the second usb_endpoint_descriptor of the attached memory stick was corrupted. Thanks for the Lead . This is eventually for the company but currently I am getting into embedded Linux , So not a problem to change over to another board like 9260 as you suggested .I will be carrying out the development on a Linux machine . I have been using Skyeye for a while and actually ported a RTOS ( FreeRTOS ) on a Samsung ARM7T simulator . But Linux is very different :( . Thanks for the support .
