Hi, I'm trying to build a U-Boot version from Ronetix to run in AT91SAM9261 (Ronetix pm9261) with my own toolchain which includes linux headers 2.16.12, uClibc 0.9.28.3, binutils 2.16.1 and GCC 3.4.6. The problem is I get errors during building: make[1]: Entering directory `/home/dfons/u-boot-1.1.5-ronetix/examples' cc1: error: invalid option `fpu=fpa' cc1: error: invalid option `abi=apcs-gnu' hello_world.c:0: error: bad value (arm926ej-s) for -mtune= switch I've no idea what it could be :( The Ronetix README says: If you have pre-built GCC ARM toolchain you can skip steps 1 and 2. 1. Required packages for building the u-boot-1.1.5-ronetix binutils-2.17.50.0.6 gcc-4.1.1 newlib-1.14.0 insight-6.5 But i have my toolchain (no with this versions) so i skept steps 1 (and 2). ideas? suggestions? [U-Boot-Users] u-boot for OMAP1612

Hi, I saw the latest u-boot sources i.e. 1.2.0 and there is no support for omap 1612 but I saw that omap 1610 is supported. Has anyone ported u-boot to omap 1612? Does anyone know what is the difference between omap 1612 and omap 1610 from u-boot point of view? -pharaoh.

Hi all, I'm trying to figure out why the below calculation of my main frequencey clock is not correct. In the below equation: maindiv2 = 28 maindiv1 = 13 prediv = 23 ps = 0 and CONFIG_SYS_CLK_FREQ is 14745600. but I get 93622108 instead of 265420800. What was suppose to be a stack variable was declared as a pointer, overwriting random memory. Also moved the libfdt.a requirement into the main Makefile. That is The U-Boot Way. No. It creates (or modifies) the environmental variable and gives it the value located at memory location zero (since that would be interpreted as a pointer to a char array at 0x0000000). To erase it, do_setenv needs to be called with two arguments, not three (see that difference in the patch?). -Jeff Mann

Wed, 18 Apr 2007 21:59:51 -0400 The last patch there replaces the "Improve -S handling" patches. But does the last patch replace or depend on the second one? Hey u-boot list: I've attached a patch for adding function to the exports table for your review. In exports.c, I added a function called xf_func_inc(int) which can be called from an external program and used to determine which functions were compiled with u-boot and available. (this is done by making sure that the jump table entry does not point to the dummy function) For example, if u-boot is compiled without NAND support, a stand alone program can find out before calling the do_nand function. This seemed to be the simplest way to implement this functionality, but if anyone has a better idea, I'll look into it. Also in exports.c, I reordered the "gd->jt[XF_xxxx] = (void *) xxxx;" entries to be grouped into a more logical grouping order so that the #if statements were together. In _exports.h, I added my new functions below existing functions so that the enumerated name and number (XF_xxxx) that get assigned to the existing functions would not change. Also, I removed the #if... Statements so that the enumerated numbers assigned never change when u-boot is compiled with different configurations and options enabled. In exports.h Function declarations were added and the XF_VERSION was incremented to 4. netboot_common was changed from static to extern. If there are no discussions about this, then Wolfgang and Stefan please add it to the tree. -Jeffrey Mann PATCH * Add functions to the exports table for use by external programs.
