Hello all, I am trying to understand start.S in my u-boot-1.1.4/cpu/mpc83xx directory. In the vector table setup section (Line 209). I want to know where the STD_EXCEPTION function is implemented. I see that this function is being used to hookup an handler function to a particular address in the table, but I cant see how its implemented. Is this an assembler directive ? Thanks Bilahari

I don't understand if on an MPC880 I have to define in the u-boot 1.2.0 always the flag CFG_SPI_UCODE_PATCH or if it is not needed. Any help is welcome.

I had a problem with SPI controller in linux 2.6 for MPC880, starting the SPI controller led to a kernel hang (no kernel panic), then, I tried to do a small application in u-boot 1.2.0 to try the SPI controller. The same happens, the SPI controller was working in u-boot-1.1.4 with the same application. Any idea? Bye, Antonio.

Hi Guys, I'm trying to compile the u-boot-1.1.2, and running into some assembler issues, It breaks with the following messages u-boot-1.1.2.rio/lib_ppc/ticks.S: Assembler messages: /root/u-boot-1.1.2/lib_ppc/ticks.S:38: Error: Unrecognized opcode: `mftbu' /root/u-boot-1.1.2/lib_ppc/ticks.S:39: Error: Unrecognized opcode: `mftb' /root/u-boot-1.1.2/lib_ppc/ticks.S:40: Error: Unrecognized opcode: `mftbu' is it the fact that binuitls and gcc are not in sync. Or some other issue. Hi, I have attach a patch, for a SATA controller of Intel processor with South Bridge ICH5, ICH6 and ICH7. These chipset's don't support AHCI, and so you cann't use the driver ahci.c in u-boot code. I have divided the code into two files, functions which are controller specifc are kept in ata-piix.c under directory drivers(this is with reference to ata-piix driver in kernel). And functions which are common to Sata controllers are kept in cmd_sata.c, under directory common (this is with reference to libata in kernel and cmd_ide.c in u-boot). Thanks, Mushtaq khan.

Hi all, I am using u-boot version 1.1.4 i am using custom board based on s3c2412. On my custom board, i don't have any nor or nand flash except onenand. While creating a configuration file for the board ,I was not able to find any way where i could say environment is in onenand(like for nand CFG_ENV_IS_IN_NAND) ? TIA, Regards, Pradeep.
