Add support for high boot on TQM5200 and TQM5200S boards. The high boot U-Boot could be used as a backup or rescue option if something goes wrong during an (low boot) U-Boot update. For this a secondary copy of U-Boot is stored at the end of the flash memory. Over jumper X30 on the STK52xx the desired boot option (low boot or high boot) could be selected. Hint: the CPLD on the TQM5200 must be programmed with a software version supporting the high boot option! U-Boot configurations for high boot: - TQM5200_HIGHBOOT_config - TQM5200_B_HIGHBOOT_config (for TQM5200S and TQM5200 with MPC5200B CPU) The "high boot" U-Boot should be programmed to the beginning of the last megabyte in flash memory (this addrss depends on the overall flash memory of the used TQM5200 variant). To actually "high boot", set jumper X30 on the STK52xx. Both U-Boot versions (low boot and high boot) are using the same environment stored in flash at address 0xFC080000. Hello, I am running a board similar to the at91rm9200ek board. It has been stripped down of few peripherials for minimal power consumption purpose. I am running uboot 1.1.4 and linux 2.6.16. U boot loads directly from parallel flash into ram. My problem is that I cannot restart the chip from linux. I followed the watchdog code, and it does execute. Linux also closes up fine. However, the processor does not reset at the end. The weird thing is that a reset works fine from uboot. The code is almost identical between the uboot reset and the linux system call. Both set the reset pin and make a watchdog overflow. I believe that my issue lies in a uboot setting somewhere in the initial linux setup. If I load ubott 1.1.4 without low level init by means of yet another loader loading uboot from flash to ram, the reset runs but very slow. However, my uboot utilizes the lowlevel init. Somehow it affects my watchdog timer and stops me from resetting the chip. Has anyone run into this issue? What could be stopping me from resetting? I thought that the watchdog timer was a purely hardware tool. I thought that setting and overflowing the timer would reset the chip on a hardware level. Please help. I have spent a week or so on this and cannot figure out the issue. It is probably very simple and is my oversight, however, I cannot see it yet. Thanks again, Roman

I'd like to use the logbuffer functionality in u-boot... After #define'ing CONFIG_LOGBUFFER, I can successfully see our data getting printed to the reserved 16K region in dram. However, we want to grab that data back out after linux has booted. During the various initializations that linux does on boot, (somewhere before init is actually run, I believe), the data in the 16K buffer at the end of dram gets over-written by somebody inside linux, and is lost. I found a thread somewhere on the net where Wolfgang mentioned that linux needed a patch to be told not to intrude on those logbuffer pages, but nothing more than that. Hi, the loady command (which was introduced this april) bloats the size of U-Boot by almost 4K on my at91 board. The patch below introduces a new option CFG_CMD_LOADY, which can be disabled separately from CFG_CMD_LOADB to save precious space (loadb + loady together take up about 2.5 times as much code space as loadb alone). Perhaps CFG_CMD_LOADY should even be added to CFG_CMD_NONSTD for this reason?
