Hi list, I want an interrupt aware application running on u-boot.I found that install_hdlr() is available in the u-boot api. But jumptable_init() in common/exports.c has install \_hdlr going in only for i386 and ppc.. am I missing something here?? Also,what would be the best way to install an interrupt handler?? I am on a custom blackfin 532 based board. TIA -- P

Hi, I want to change the sdram setting from 96 MHZ to 192MHZ in OMAP 5912 osk. What registers need to be modified for effecting this. I went through the data sheets and could not make out much. probably due to lack of knowledge. i have made the required changes in the DPLL control register (PLL_MULT Bits). hi list, I have a VDSP compiled standalone code which I am able to successfully load from the flash of my board and run. Now I wanted to use u-boot as my boot loader and do a 'go <addr> ' to my app; Currently I get a .ldr file from which, in principal, I can get my binary code out by stripping the .ldr headers... I thought it might be simpler to create an application and extract the binary from the .dxe file created, except the elfdump utility on VDSP, at first look did not seem to allow that. I could also use bfin-elf-objdump (which I have used successfully for bfin-elf-gcc compiled apps, except that VDSP puts in a machine type number on which objdump chokes... How does one go about doing this?? TIA -- Peeyush

Dear all! I got some major problem with compiling u-boot 1.1.4 under cygwin with th e make all command for bamboo board @ ppc440ep, because i can´t get an appropriate cross-compiler like powerpc-linux-gcc or similar. [U-Boot-Users] Uboot mpc8xx porting

As is understand by seeing the code, there is a bd_info structure that the U-boot sends to the kernel through registers. Now one of the main information that is passed on is the address of the start of the bd_info structure in the memory. At the end of the structure the last member is again a structure pointer that points to monitor routines. I have a U-boot working fine, i have tested example applications on our target board and found everything is fine. Does this mean that the monitor routines are fine. When i try to load kernel, the kernel executes some code in head_8xx.S and hangs. As told in the Readme file i have checked with the IMMR start to be matching with ppcboot.h. Why is the Kernel hanging? Will the Kernel use the getc,puts and other monitor functions of the U-boot for messages? How do i proceed? I have tried with both uclinux and linux kernels on the board. Hi developers I have a MPC8272ADS board, from Freescale. I'm using low-boot configuration (HRCW is 0x0E_74_B2_0A). I have ELDK 3.1 and ELDK 4.0 installed. I'm using U-Boot 1.1.4. When I compile U-Boot with GCC 3.3.3, the board works ok, but not with GCC 4.0.0. All the ethernet leds freeze turned on and the Run led too. It makes me thinking the board entered some loop state. Nothing appears at serial port. If anyone had this problem, or if anyone have such a configuration working (GCC 4 and U-Boot 1.1.4 with this board), any help will be very appreciated. I'm using a custom board that was based off of the AT91RM9200DK/EK. Right now we're booting from parallel flash using boot.bin (from Atmel), but I'd like to get rid of the need for it. I assume I can use CONFIG_SKIP_RELOCATE_UBOOT and CONFIG_SKIP_LOWLEVEL_INIT to do this. What do I need to set TEXT_BASE to for this to work? Hello Wolfgang, This patch adds full support for parameter area relocation on MPC8xx. This is needed if you want to simultaneously use devices that have overlapping parameter areas, such as SCC1/I2C, SCC2/SPI, SCC3/SMC1, SCC4/SMC2 (SCCx should be in Ethernet mode). The details are in doc/README.mpc8xx_upatch. Both ROM-based relocation solution and microcode patch are supported. Selection is automatic. In addition to that, this patch contains some minor enhancements for MPC8xx SPI driver and "sspi" command, which were kind of difficult to separate (I had to do everything together in order to be able to test it). Hello Group, I was trying to single step the u-boot code from flash on my EP8248 using the Macraigor's Raven and I noticed that the above instruction generates reset exception at early initiazation phase (first 20 instructions). It happened right on the first instruction of boot_warm: Boot_warm: Msmsr r5 => exception generated????? Could you provide some insights/help please? Thanks, Nguyen

I had success in porting the U-boot-1.1.4 to a varity of SMDK2410 board. But I found the bootm command does not work as expected. Because the go command did not pass the archtecure # to kerner. That's why it says "Error: a". On the other side, this proves the console setting is right because it received the msg from the kernal.
