Does anyone have a smdk2413 patch for U-Boot? We have a very old, mutant version from Samsung which supports the 2413 processor with NAND boot capability. I am working on porting this functionality to the latest state of development but time is running short. Most of the processor support has been implemented but NAND and NAND boot support are still a problem. If you have a 2412 version, that would also help. TIA - Allen

Dear All, I'm porting U-Boot to our hardware based on Virtex-II FGPA. We have NAND device which cannot be accessed directly but only via our interface which takes care of all the control lines and sends the address/command/data bytes automatically. I understand, low-level macros like NAND_CLRCLE can be skipped. Will it be OK if I implemet only NAND_WAIT_READY, WRITE_NAND_xxx and READ_NAND macros? Or anything else is required. Do I need to set any structures manually? I couldn't find who populates struct nand_chip with info, at which stages it occurs. Thanks.

Hello, I'm thinking about how to boot an operating system over PCIe. My device is a PCIe endpoint and can for example be connected to a normal PC (PCIe interface). U-Boot shall be loaded from PC to the µCs (MPC8540) internal SRAM. When uboot is once started I have to load the OS- binaries from PC. For that purpose I'm thinking about a shared memory interface. My Question: Is there already a shared memory interface I can use integrated in U-Boot? My customized board has MPC8345E (almost same as mpc8349) processor and 128M sdram. I have implemented U-Boot support for the Infineon ADM5120, a MIPS32 4Kc based SoC frequently used in low-end netwerk routers. Basic functionality has been implemented and I will post a patch shortly. Currently I'm working on Ethernet support. But what I really want is USB support: I want U-Boot to load the kernel from USB mass storage. The ADM5120 has an AMBA based USB interface and there's even a Linux driver available: usb-shci.c Can anybody give me some pointers on implementing USB support and/or porting the existing Linux USB driver to U-Boot? Hi,all I've been thinking this question for long time.There's only one supported board of x86 arch. But it's different with PC. There's no flash on PC's board, so where should u-boot be stored? I think it may be hdd, correct? And PC have rom-bios. I'm trying to make u-boot work for PC and find it so difficult.Is there anybody has done this work? Can the source for sc520 board be used on PC with some fix? Best regards! Alex

I'm a little confused by flash driver selection in u-boot. My flash device is intel JS28F128J3, I assume it's not CFI flash so I want to use strataflash.c. I added such file under my board directory, add it into Makefile, and undef CFG_FLASH_CFI_DRIVER, but I got link error. If define this macro, the compilation is ok and my flash works. My question is, if we define this macro, which flash driver being used? cfi_flash.c or my strataflash.c? I'll appreciate if someone can shed some lights. - Reeve

I have configured the uboot, but when I run the kernel (linux kernel 2-6-10 from montavista software) with the initrd I have a kernel stack overflow error.
