Hi Wolfgang! During compiling I just spotted the fact that gccincdir := $(shell $(CC) -print-file-name=include) in the top config.mk does execute "gcc -print-file-name=include" instead of "m68k-elf-gcc ..." which I would expect as i compile for m68k. I think that this does not make much difference as the includes should mostly be the same, but for the sake of completeness I want to bring the attached patch to your attention. Hi All, Attached is a patch that adds support to u-boot for the OpenGear CM4008 8 port console manager board. It is built around the KS8695P CPU, with 8 serial ports, 16MB RAM, and 8MB NOR flash. This patch was originally generated against u-boot 1.1.1. Greetings Having played with netconsole a bit, I've observed that the current behaiviour of warning if gatewayip is not set and then using its value of zero when talking to outside the current subnet is somewhat suspect. The particular case of netconsole means that no error message is evident - it is trying to be sent the error down the ethernet connection that is being initiated with an arp(0.0.0.0)! I propose that the warning message stay but the target address is put into the arp so that a proxying router can reply to it rather then send out a nonsense arp request. Hello I am getting closer to getting the examples code to build. I have added a bunch of object files and library files to the link command in the examples Makefile. However, I have gotten to the last bug and I don't know how to solve it. Below, it complains about __got2_entries. I found this defined in our board directories linker script. Hello.. It seems that there is a minor problem in cfi_flash.c that prevents it from detecting that a flash write error has occurred. The first change in the attached patch is trivial, it just makes the strings output for a protected and a non-protected sector have the same length so the output looks prettier.. The second change is in flash_full_status_check(). We have just called flash_status_check() and then did a switch() on the vendor. For intel, we *should* check if there are any error bits if the previous call returned ERR_OK (Otherwise we will have output an error message in flash_status_check() already.) Hi, The two patches attached are for drivers/cfi_flash.c. cfi_flash-protect.patch adds CFG_FLASH_PROTECT_CLEAR because for some flash memories(such as 28F320C3) all banks are protected after reset. cfi_flash-buffer.patch makes write_buff not to call flash_write_cfibuffer if buffer_size is1. This patch fixes a problem when writing an amount of data superior to a block size. Writing part seems to be correct. But when re-booting the board, bad block scan is performed and blocks following the first one you wrote are marked bad... The problem seems to be in nand_write_ecc function in drivers/nand/nand_base.c source file where oob variable is not reset after reaching a block boundary, so that wrong values are written in next block oobs. Hope it's clear enough... This patch is applied against testing-NAND git branch. Hi! I'm trying to port u-boot to an APEX board from ALTERA, i'm have been looking in to Alteras Cyclone board which is a newer and bigger board. My problem is that i dont have any SDRAM as the cyclone board has. And in theier .h files they say that you have to have a SDRAM. But this should be possible to come around, is it not?
