Hi, The patch attached provides a command called 'ethloop' which allows to perform loopback testing on the current eth device. To achieve this, a new ethernet packet type (PROT_TEST, 0x0808, AFAIK this is not used otherwise) is introduced in net/net.c. The patch is against SF CVS from 20050307. The functions EthLoopStart, EthLoopSend and EthLoopHandler generate a simple ethernet frame with NetOurEther as destination address and packet type PROT_TEST. The looped back package is compared with the original one and a message is displayed. It is necessary to set the ethernet line into loopback mode either by programming the PHY or using a loopback plug. I've tested this on our PPC405 custom board, but it should also work on all other systems because packet generation is independent of the underlying ethernet hardware. Example usage: => mii w 0 0 7100 <-- sets PHY into loopback mode => ethloop Using ppc_405x_eth0 device Got ethernet loopback frame, len=64 loopback test successfully completed => mii w 0 0 8000 <-- PHY reset after test is completed Maybe this is also useful for others.. Hi! I was just wondering about state of the NAND code. When I remember correctly a pretty big rewrite was done but not commited yet. Is the last patch sent to this list from Pantelis Antoniou on 5th May still the latest version? Best regards, Stefan

The patch is created against current CVS 2005 march 1st and fixes problems for boards that only have word access to the NS16550 UART. Peripherals that can only handle word aligned access won't work properly when accessed with byte access. The struct NS16550 is already word aligned for REG_SIZE = 4, so there is no need to packed the struct in that case. Greetings Having played with netconsole a bit, I've observed that the current behaiviour of warning if gatewayip is not set and then using its value of zero when talking to outside the current subnet is somewhat suspect. The particular case of netconsole means that no error message is evident - it is trying to be sent the error down the ethernet connection that is being initiated with an arp(0.0.0.0)! I propose that the warning message stay but the target address is put into the arp so that a proxying router can reply to it rather then send out a nonsense arp request. Hello, This patch fixes booting on OMAP242x GP devices, and it unlocks a GP SRAM suitable for DSS subsystem access. One other minor change is to the DDR's DLL count value when used in unlock mode. This change allows standard low speed operation for 100MHz DDR's. Regards, Richard W.

Hi, this patch switches the at91rm9200 to synchronous clock mode after initialization (it would otherwise stay in FastBus mode which is the _slowest_ clock mode). This lets the core run at full speed when not doing bus accesses, increasing overall performance by a factor of four. Hi, this patch adds basic support for the Cogent csb637 AT91RM9200-based board. This implementation loads u-boot directly from NOR flash and does not support dataflash, CF, MMC. The on-board LCD controller is not supported (yet). The configuration matches the version I got, that is, 8MiB of CFI flash and 64MiB of SDRAM (the board is available with other memory options, too). Hi, this patch fixes two bugs in dm9161.c; - in dm9161_InitPhy the interrupts were enabled instead of disabled - in dm9161_AutoNegotiate the PHY was disconnected from the wire and never re-connected (it seems this function is never called).
