Wolfgang- It appears that Kshitij Gupta, the maintainer for the omap1510inn & omap1610inn, is no longer reachable at his email address listed in the MAINTAINERS file. Wolfgang, Here is a patch for the MPC8540/8560ADS and STXGP3 boards that is primarily to support larger DDR memories up to 2G. This patch applies with a -p2, and was tested on MPC8540ADS, MPC8560ADS, and compiles on STXGP3 and SBC8560. As usual, please let me know of any corrections needed here. Note that this is a resubmission of this patch in two parts as the prior submission was 5K too large. Has anyone worked on an LCD driver for the TI OMAP 1510 Innovator (or other OMAP platform)? I see small bits of LCD related stuff in the code (i.e. LCD defines in omap1510.h) which appears to have originated from RidgeRun, but I don't see an actual LCD driver anywhere. Sorry for sending on a new thread, I'm on a different machine so is unable to continue the last thread. The function AFAIK is actually an empty function and does nothing according to cpu/pxa/interrupts.c I've tried 3 terminal program, 2 in windows (HyperTerminal & Tera Term Pro) and 1 in linux (minicom). Althought minicom is known to have problems, it is only transmission of file across tftp that is problematic I think. WD did suggest that it might just the flow control. I've tried all 3 settings available, Hardware, Xon/Xoff and None. All 3 of them have not worked. BTW, a very tough situation I have to deal with is that I don't have a debugger. I made some software debug tool and tested it on evaluation board and they all work. I believe the program stopped at early_init() in head_4xx.S. Hello! I'm porting u-boot to smdk2800 board. The ethernet card, that we use is realtech8139D. U-boot recognizes the card, but when it tries to transmit the very first packet( after tftpboot command), it fails to do that. Can you give any idea of what could be the problem? Thank you. Kirnasov A.

Hi there, I'm using a custom PXA255 board and finally getting u-boot to run on board. currently all the events are outputted to the serial. I'm using STUART on the board as the the other UARTs are reserved :( I've only got it to post in the console, but I am unable to actually make any inputs via the serial console and is having no clues as to what is wrong. I have made sure that it is not booting some image at some location at I have #define CONFIG_BOOTDELAY -1. [U-Boot-Users] AT91RM9200 -> UBoot and arm/thumb interworking

Hello, I'm getting started with an AT91RM9200 development kit from atmel and am having trouble starting a simple application with UBoot. If I compile my application into 32bit arm code only, I can successfully load and run some simple startup code through the 'loadb' and 'go' commands that UBoot offers. I have two files: startup.s and main.c. "startup.s" does nothing more than set up some vector branches, initializes a stack, and jumps to main. All main does is drive a user led on the development board. As I said, compiling this in 32 bit arm seems to work fine when I load to 0x2000 0000. If I try to compile the main.c source code in thumb mode, then the 'bx' branch to main fails and the code does not run. The code preceding the branch is: . ldr r0, =main mov r13, pc bx r0 I was wondering if there was some initializations made by UBoot that would prevent it from loading thumb code. Any help/ideas would be especially useful. Thanks. --Erick

Hi, I am working on my walnut board with PPC405GP. The Flash starts at FFE00000. I need to reserve the first 512KB of Flash for other application. So the U-Boot is installed at FFE80000. I set the config parameter as below: In WALNUT405.h CFG_FLASH_BASE = FFE00000 CFG_MONITOR_BASE = FFE80000 In board/walnut405/config.mk TEXT_BASE = FFE80000 Are these all what I need to change? Did I miss anything? Frank, I think you power off and then immediately (in a few seconds) power on the board. If you stay a while after you power off the board, the content of SDRAM should be lost. The reason is that sdram keeps the contents for a while without refresh. Hope this helps. Hi all, I am playing with the u-boot that is just installed on my customed board with PPC405GP (based on walnut). The SDRAM I am using is SAMSUNG K4S561632D-TC75000. One interesting thing I found is, I used mm to change the first 4 bytes at address 0, which is suppose to belong to SDRAM, to 0xdeaddead. Then I turned off the power. After I turned on the power, I used md to check the memory. The content at address 0 was still 0xdeaddead. I changed the value several times and found once I modified the SDRAM, the content stays regardless the power is off. This is very weird. Should the content be lost once the power is off? Can anybody explain how it happened? BTW, after I turn off the board I waited for long enough (1-2 minutes) to turn it on. Thanks, Frank

Hi all. I need a standalone application to run on vxworks boot loader , on sbc8260. I tried to run u-boot example , hello_world , but it makes an exception , when tries to access a logical address.(MSR says i have supervisior privilege, so this is not because of instruction needed privilege) I think this is due to lack of logical addresses provided by vxworks boot loader, as hello_world is configured to use logical addresses provided by u-boot. can anyone help me?am i right? can i run any standalone application on it? I have configured u-boot , ( sbc8260.c(/board) and sbc8260.h(/include/configs )and compiled it.I am not an expert. also vxworks bootloader can not run u-boot elf.why this happens? thanks. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Is there a (good) reason why the mem_alloc_init for ARM (and some other) targets zeroes out the malloc pool? from ./lib_arm/board.c: static void mem_malloc_init (ulong dest_addr) { mem_malloc_start = dest_addr; mem_malloc_end = dest_addr + CFG_MALLOC_LEN; mem_malloc_brk = mem_malloc_start; memset ((void *) mem_malloc_start, 0, mem_malloc_end - mem_malloc_start); This seems very redundant to me.
